Inspiration

In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel collaborated with perfumer Ernest Beau to create "a perfume that smells like a woman." From the perfume formula she created, Chanel selected the fifth fragrance sample and retained this number as the name. She chose a simple bottle for this new fragrance, adorned with a white label and a diamond-faceted cap.

In 1986, Jacques Polge, inheriting the olfactory atmosphere of Ernest Beau's classic N°5, reinterpreted it, launching a more complex and layered N°5 fragrance.
